The news that Sony will introduce the new tablet at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 at the end of February in Barcelona, Spain, is likely to become a reality. The rumors were supported by the circulation of photographs showing the physical form of the tablet.
Twitter account @ evleaks, published photographs showing the tablet design with thick black frames. On the upper left side of the tablet, the Sony logo plastered. However, the back of the tablet was not disclosed.
According to rumors circulating in the industry, the tablet will be named Xperia Tablet Z2, which means the second generation tablet under the Xperia trademark. Xperia brand itself is usually used by the product line Android smart phones made by Sony.
Xperia Tablet Z2 will carry 10.1-inch wide landscape display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The shape is getting thin, only 6.4 mm or 0.25 inches, and the body is designed to be waterproof.
Hardware components using a quad-core processor speed of 2.3 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB internal memory. There is also a slot for MicroSD, 6.000mAh capacity battery, and runs Android 4.4 operating system (KitKat).
