Samsung rumored to be introducing the latest flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S5, in the event Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on February 24, 2014.
A reliable source told Bloomberg on Wednesday (19/02/2014), that the Galaxy S5 will be launched together with the smart device Galaxy Gear watches.
One improvement on the Galaxy S5 is a larger screen that is 5.2 inches. Not only that, the screen color quality will be improved so that makes it more "shiny."
Sensors Camera and battery components on the device will also be improved. In addition, there is the possibility it the South Korean company is still using technology on the Galaxy S5 eye scanner.
Just for the record, Samsung's flagship Android phone the previous generation, the Galaxy S4, carrying the 5-inch wide-screen design, and equipped with a 13MP camera.
According to analyst Roberta Cozza of Gartner research institute, specs are important, but equally important for the Samsung are going to find a way for consumers to choose their products.
"They must find a way to hook users into selecting the Samsung brand in various types of devices to better compete with Apple," he said.
Although still the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, Samsung has to face the delivery rate decreases. According to research agency IDC, Samsung send 112 million units of smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2013, down from 113.6 million units of mobile phones in the same quarter of 2012.
Sales flagship phone Galaxy S4 also known decreased. Based on the amount of data collected by Bloomberg, since released in April 2013, Samsung reported to have sold 63.5 million units of the Galaxy S4 until now. This figure is lower than the Galaxy S3 sales, which reached 65.6 million units.
While the Galaxy S4 toughest competitors, namely Apple's iPhone 5S, since the sale in September to December 2013, sales reached 51 million units.
