In addition to unique and presenting wearable devices concept future, Google Glass arguably still looks "strange" in the eyes of most people. Visor similar device from a science fiction movie is too risky to invite trouble for the owner, from the start accused of secretly taking pictures up to deal with the police.
Well, Google as the creator of the Google Glass was evidently aware of this. A report from Ars Technica says that the internet giant has released a series of official guides to the owners of smart glasses, which are members of the Glass Explorer program.
It contained nothing but a list of suggestions and prohibition (the "do's and don'ts") for users of Google Glass, in order to avoid conflicts with other people who feel uncomfortable with the presence of these devices.
"Ask permission before taking a picture. Recording secretly with Glass would be bad for your relationship with others," reads the Google suggestion, regarding the integrated camera on the Google Glass.
Another suggestion encourages users not to be too long looking at the small prism screen on the Google Glass so as not to seem strange to those around. "Do not read the book (in the Google Glass). Thing that's better done on the big screen."
Google Glass has sparked controversy since it was first introduced. Google's Chairman, Eric Schmidt, has said that the device could be seen as "odd" and "inappropriate" in certain situations.
A number of entertainment venues also banned visitors using Google Glass. A number of incidents have occurred, among others, involving a woman who got a ticket for driving while wearing the device, and a man who was hauled out theater for allegedly recording a movie with Google Glass.
In general, it is recommended that users treat the Google Glass like the smartphones. Like the notion that busy themselves with smartphones when talking with others is something less polite, I looked Glass too. Consider the "rules" Goggle Glass more at this link.
